Community Partnership and Social Responsibility Initiatives

The Office of Community Partnership and Social Responsibility was founded in 2010. With "learning" and "community" as key words, the office supports KWU students in volunteer activities and community partnership initiatives.

Coordinating Volunteer Activities

As of September 2011, 670 students have registered as volunteers, attracting even greater interest in volunteer activities. The KWU volunteer center monitors the students’ learning process and provides support in the form of introductory briefings and post-activity debriefings.

Supporting Student Organizations at KWU

The Office of Community Partnership and Social Responsibility supports student organizations that voluntarily plan and carry out social responsibility initiatives. After undergoing a screening process, approved organizations are provided with advice, subsidies, and other forms of support.

Implementing Community Partnership Initiatives

The Office of Community Partnership and Social Responsibility is involved in community partnership initiatives that promote the concept of independent bodies working together to create a better society – "a partnership of mutual creation". The office engages with the community and encourages mutual understanding across a variety of fields including return of intellectual resources, maintenance of community environments, community revitalization, improvement of quality of life, and educational support, all the while recognizing the mutual independence of the university and the community.
