Master's Program in Psychology and Education

Preparing Graduates to Qualify for Jobs in Clinical Psychology and Several Related Fields.

The three study programs of the Master's Program in Psychology and Education (General Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Human Education) provide a comprehensive study of psychology and education ranging from the basics to applied practical skills. Graduates gain a sophisticated education preparing them to work as researchers who can draw on diverse approaches that encompass peripheral fields such as philosophy. The Clinical Psychology Program qualifies graduates to take exams for accreditation as clinical psychologists, or qualify as clinical developmental psychologists or school psychologists. Graduates also contribute to society as specialists in areas such as childhood education and life design.

Master's Program in Psychology and Education

General Psychology Program

The comprehensive curriculum of the General Psychology Program covers all areas of modern psychology from fundamentals to applications, not limited to any particular theory or approach.

Clinical Psychology Program

The program is authorized as a Class 1 Designated Graduate School program by the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists. It prepares graduates to become clinical psychologists able to approach cases from a wide range of perspectives.

Human Education Program

Covers new disciplines such as childhood studies and child media studies, along with fundamental disciplines such as education, philosophy, educational psychology, infant education and elementary education. Also prepares graduates to acquire specialized kindergarten and elementary school educator licenses.
