Graduate School of Humanities and Human Sciences

Three Programs Give Graduates the Specializations Demanded by Today's Increasingly Complex Society.

The three study programs of the Graduate School of Humanities and Human Sciences (Language and Literature; Psychology and Education; and Sociology, Anthropology and Environmental Studies) allow students to pursue more in-depth research at either the Master's or Doctorate level. The Graduate School's close ties to the Faculty of Letters and Faculty of Human Sciences give students the freedom to pursue their chosen research topics in thorough detail. The programs actively encourage mature student applicants in order to promote diverse, broader exchanges of knowledge among students of all ages and levels of experience. These programs provide advanced specialization tailored to the demands of a new era, producing graduates prepared to make valuable contributions to society.

Graduate School of Nursing

Producing High-Quality Practicing Nurses Able to Meet the Needs of Medical Workplaces and Society.

The Graduate School of Nursing prepares graduates to become nursing educators, researchers and leaders. The coursework instills a high standard of ethics and teaches students advanced practical nursing skills with a solid scientific grounding and outstanding creativity and design. The programs cover five areas of nursing: Practical Nursing Studies, Women's Health Nursing Studies, Cancer Nursing Studies, Senior-Care Nursing Studies, and Community Nursing Studies. The Cancer Nursing Studies Program and Senior-Care Nursing Studies Program prepare graduates to become APNs (Advance Practice Nurses). The Community Nursing Studies Program prepares graduates to become CNSs (Certified Nurse Specialists).
